Welcome to Essex Criminal Justice Board (ECJB)

Essex Criminal Justice Board (ECJB) was launched in April 2003 to transform the way the criminal justice system works to catch, convict and rehabilitate more criminals in Essex, making the county a safer place in which to live and work.

This website has been designed for you, the people whose lives we aim to make a difference to. We hope that it is informative, interesting and helps you to understand how the criminal justice system works and share in the local successes of the new improved system.

We hope you will regularly view the site to receive updates on local performance against the many objectives and targets that we have set ourselves. We will use the site to provide information on forthcoming events and useful links to partner agencies.

From this one source you should be able to find out information and contact details for all aspects of the criminal justice process whether you are a victim, witness or simply an interested member of the local community.
