Working together, delivering justice and protecting the public
Welcome to the Kent Criminal Justice Board
Thank you for visiting the website for the Kent Criminal Justice Board (KCJB). The Board was launched in April 2003. Collectively the partner agencies represented on the Board aim to deliver a truly efficient and effective criminal justice system for the people of Kent. This site was set up in order to let the people of Kent find out about work undertaken by their Local Criminal Justice Board, how the criminal justice system works and how it can help local people.
We want you to let us know your views and also express your concerns. We aim to keep you regularly updated on initiatives taking place in Kent as well as future plans and areas of success. Feel free to browse around this site using the link keys on the left. If you cannot find what you're looking for then contact us on KCJB.Enq@kent.pnn.police.uk
The Partner agencies which form the Board are Kent Police, The Crown Prosecution Service, Kent Probation, HM Prsions Service, HM Courts Service, Youth Offending Services in Kent and Medway and The Legal Services Commission.
New task teams ready to tackle local concerns

Kent Police has launched six new Neighbourhood Task Teams across the county to tackle problems identified by local people as a priority.
It means that an extra 36 officers will be working to support the exisitng neighbourhood officers in each of Kent's six policing areas. To find out more visit the latest news section.
Supporting the local community

The Kent Criminal Justice Board supported this year's Maidstone Mela in Mote Park. Staff from all agencies were on hand to meet the public and offer advice on how the system can work for you. There were information leaflets available and we gave away some fantastic community engagement materials. There were activities throughout the day celebrating the diverse community of Maidstone.

The KCJB has produced an information leaflet outlining the main work we do. If you would like copies of this leaflet then please contact the Support Team at KCJB.enq@kent.pnn.police.uk.
