Working Together for Justice

The Leicestershire and Rutland Criminal Justice Board brings together the heads of all the Criminal Justice agencies which include the Probation Service, Her Majesty's Prison Service (HMPS), Police, Her Majesty's Court Service (HMCS), Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Youth Offending Service (YOS), Legal Services Commission (LSC), Victim Support Leicestershire and Rutland the the Race Equality Council. 

Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) were set up in 2003 to encourage Criminal Justice agencies to work more closely together.  The Boards are directly responsible to the National Criminal Justice Board (NCJB) for the local delivery of national targets set by the government.
