Arrival
It is important that you arrive at the time stated on the summons. When you arrive, court officials will look after you. You may have your bag searched by a security guard before being directed to the jury assembly area.
Facilities such as lockers, disabled access, catering and separate entrances, vary from court to court. Please contact the specific court you are attending to find out more information about the facilities available. The link on the right will take you to Her Majesty's Courts Service website where you can find out how to get to your local court.
There are prayer rooms available in most courts for people to use. In the event that there is not a specific prayer room available, speak to the jury manager who will endeavour to find an alternative. There is no specific policy on stopping trials to allow for religious observances, but if raised with a member of court staff, they will do their best to accommodate all jurors’ needs.
