  • What time do I need to get there?

  • What if I am late?

    Please allow plenty of time for your journey to court each day. Many people are employed in the trial, and any delays are costly. But if you are running late, please call your jury manager as soon as possible.

  • What should I wear?

    There is no strict dress code but you will be sitting down for a long time, so wear clothes you feel comfortable in. Smart casual dress is acceptable

  • What do I need to bring with me?

    You need to bring pages 1 and 2 of your summons, and one of the following forms of identification:

    • Passport
    • Driver's licence
    • Utility bill (such as gas, electricity or telephone) showing your address
    • Credit cards
    • DSS claim ID

    You may want to bring something to read as you might spend a lot of time in the Jury Assembly Area waiting to go in to the court.

  • Can I take someone with me?

    It is recommended that you don't unless they are there to assist you - see the Special Needs section. You won't be able to be with them during the day, except possibly at lunchtime, and you aren't allowed to talk to them at all about the trial you are working on.

  • What facilities are there for special needs?

    Most courts have full facilities for people with disabilities. However please contact the Jury Manager at your court to let them know in advance if you have special needs.
