Her Majesty's Courts Service

Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS) is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). Our remit to deliver justice effectively and efficiently to the public. We are responsible for managing the magistrates' courts, the Crown Court, county courts, the High Court, and Court of Appeal in England and Wales.

Crown Prosecution Service

Law Society

The Law Society is the professional body for solicitors in England and Wales who serve society by working to improve access to the law and provide services and support for solicitors themselves.

Sentencing Advisory Panel

The Sentencing Advisory Panel began work on 1 July 1999. It is an independent advisory NDPB (non-departmental public body) sponsored by the Home Office. It reports annually to the Home Secretary and the Lord Chancellor. Its job is to provide views to the Court of Appeal to help the Court in framing sentencing guidelines.
