The Criminal Justice System (CJS) Business Plan 2009-10 sets out how the CJS will be taking forward its objectives for the year. It describes how Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) will contribute to delivery, their role in leading reform and the funding and support that will enable LCJBs to meet these challenges.
The strategic vision for reducing crime and re-offending, and delivering justice is driving reform through CJS departments and agencies' objectives and a change landscape of projects and initiatives. The Plan describes how these fit together and what specifically is to be achieved in 2009-10.
The business plan takes forward the Government's vision in the Criminal Justice Strategic Plan and supports the drive to make communities safer by reducing crime and re-offending.
