Witness Intimidation
It is a criminal offence to intimidate a witness or anyone helping the police in an investigation. If you are harassed or threatened in any way before, during or after the trail, you should tell the police immediately.
Now that the Crown Prosecution Service & the Police work more closely together on witness care, they can protect the identity of a witness during the investigation of a trial and during early stages of the prosecution process.
Witness Protection
In exceptional cases a witness’ identity can be protected through the trial itself. Through working in partnership with Local Authorities we are also able to relocate victims & witnesses in more extreme circumstances.
