Where can I find Victim Support Groups/Services?

Victim Support

Victim Support is an independent national charity. Trained volunteers based at local schemes contact people following a crime to offer free, confidential support and information. People are referred to Victim Support by the police and other organisations or make direct contact themselves to ask for help.

They also offer support and advice and information to other relatives, friends and professionals who are helping the family.

This Directory aims to put you directly in touch - wherever possible - with a local children's bereavement support service. The services in this Directory can be contacted for information, guidance and support by anyone caring for or working with a bereaved child or young person (i.e. a parent, teacher or GP) and, in most instances, by the bereaved child themselves.

Winston's Wish helps bereaved children and young people rebuild their lives after a family death. We offer practical support and guidance to families, to professionals and to anyone concerned about a grieving child.

Women's Aid

The Child Bereavement Trust

The Child Bereavement Trust works to improve the care offered by professionals to grieving families in the immediate crisis and in many months following the death of someone important in their lives. The site also contains helpful information for bereaved families and young people.
