Childhood Bereavement Network

The Childhood Bereavement Network works in partnership with service providers to improve the range and quality of bereavement support for children throughout the UK. This Directory aims to put you directly in touch - wherever possible - with a local children's bereavement support service. The services in this Directory can be contacted for information, guidance and support by anyone caring for or working with a bereaved child or young person (i.e. a parent, teacher or GP) and, in most instances, by the bereaved child themselves.

The Child Bereavement Trust

The Child Bereavement Trust works to improve the care offered by professionals to grieving families in the immediate crisis and in many months following the death of someone important in their lives. The site also contains helpful information for bereaved families and young people.

The Child Death Helpline

Professionals and parents working in partnership to provide a freephone listening service that offers emotional support to all those affected by the death of a child.

The Compassionate Friends

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is an organisation of bereaved parents and their families offering understanding, support and encouragement to others after the death of a child or children. They also offer support and advice and information to other relatives, friends and professionals who are helping the family.

MAMAA offers support to familes who have lost children through murder. Also campaigns against violence towards children and for better rights for victims.
