Association of Chief Police Officers
The Association represents Chief Constables in England and Wales. It influences policy on policing, as well as representing police views to the Home Office and elsewhere.

Association of Police Authorities
The Association of Police Authorities was set up on 1st April 1997 to represent police authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, both on the national stage and locally. It influences policy on policing and it supports local police authorities in their important role.

Independent Police Complaints Commission
IPCC will have overall responsibility for the system for complaints against the police in England and Wales from April 2004 onwards, replacing the Police Complaints Authority.
